Gibbston Valley is another of our favourite wineries and the Reserve Pinot Noir is one of their very best wines. It tastes of cherries, dark plums and spice, is a richly flavoured wine that finishes with velvety tannins. An excellent wine.

A rather un-Chardonnay like wine with restrained flavours that almost tastes like a Pinot Gris or Grigio. Tastes of apple, peach and pear with a long soft finish.

Mount Mary is one of the Yarra Valley's oldest and most renowned wineries and this Chardonnay lives up to its reputation. Distinct flavours of tropical fruit, mouthfilling, textured and structured with an excellent long finish. Worth the points rating and the price.
Wantirna Isabella Chardonnay 2011

Wantirna is one of the oldest established wineries in the Yarra Valley and its locations could now almost be considered suburban. The aged vines produce excellent fruit for this elegant Chardonnay. Tastes of peaches and lychees with a touch of oak.

Yeringberg has a long family history in the Yarra Valley that goes back to the 1800s. The Pinot tastes of cherries and red berries and finishes with silky tannins.

Made from 40 year old vines, this Pinot has a strawberry, briary flavour, with a slightly sour finish. It is still young and needs some time to develop and mature.

Mount Mary considers 2010 to be one of their great vintages and this wine impresses from the outset. Flavours of strawberries and cherries are mixed with slightly briary overtones to deliver a complex wine that finishes long with fine dusty, chalky tannins.
