This Tasmanian wine has won international trophies. Flavours of ripe tropical fruit, particularly melons, with hints of over ripe fruit. The wine is tight and acidic without a lot of fruit flavour. Perhaps a wine that appeals more to the judges than to the average consumer.

Citrus and tropical fruit flavours, pineapple, lychees and some spice. Rich and creamy, reflecting the oak treatment this wine receives.

A different style of Chardonnay that is likely to divide opinions. It is described as a "more intellectual style", but perhaps could better be described as "different". It is a light wine with subtle flavours.

This is an organic wine with an unusual name. A relatively simple wine with tropical fruit and white peach flavours.

A well balanced wine with fruit and oak flavours of white peach, vanilla and a little citrus. Not an overly big or complex Chardonnay, but a good wine.

Pierro is one of the stand out Margaret River Chardonnay producers. The 2011, while still young, is balanced and full flavoured. It has a complex range of fruit flavours and will get better for a few years yet.

This is Sirromet's premium Chardonnay. It was originally released at $115 but has now been reduced to a more realistic price. Only 4000 bottles were made. It is an excellent wine with rich full flavours of white peach and vanilla. This is a serious wine from Sirromet.
