Volare
Volare is situated in a small suburban shopping centre at The Gardens, Manukau. It is a rather unpretentious Italian restaurant. The food is normal Italian fare of mainly pizza and pasta which are done well. The wine list includes New Zealand, Australian and Italian wines and offers more than adequate choice. The atmosphere is family, suburban, casual, neighbourhood and a bit noisy. The service is very friendly and informal but quick and efficient. The place has a great feel to it and it was a pleasure to visit it again. Apparently it is a favourite with some prominent locals. Volare really does everything very well and is everything you could want in your local restaurant. It is such a simple formula, its a shame more restaurants cant get it right like Volare does.
