Innocent Bystander
At most cellar doors you have panoramic views out over the vineyards, but not this one. You have a lovely view out over the car park, the Maroondah Highway and downtown Healesville! Still it seems to work, the combination of Innocent Bystander for wine, White Rabbit Brewery for beer and cider and the Beechworth Bakery for food together provides a destination in itself.
Innocent Bystander offers free tastings of its Innocent Bystander range or you pay $10 to have a tasting in the Barrel Hall of the Giant Steps range. There is also a restaurant and a range of merchandise available. The service was good, the food good and overall it all seems to work despite the rather urban/industrial appearance.
Cellar doors are all about the quality of the wine and of the tasting "experience" and Innocent Bystander does not disappoint.
