Schramsberg Vineyards Napa Valley

Schramsberg was the first non-French vineyard to supply sparkling wine to the White House, a tradition that has continued from the Nixon years right through to the Obama Administration. The cellar door is on the main highway between St Helena and Calistoga. It is up a long and windy, but beautiful, driveway.
Sparkling wine is what Schramsberg is famous for, and on the evidence of our visit and tasting, rightly so.
